1. Select the Correct Toggle Bolt

Choose a toggle bolt with the proper diameter and length for your application. Consider the thickness of the fixture and the wall material, such as drywall, plaster, or hollow concrete block.

2. Gather Required Tools and Safety Gear

You will need a drill, a drill bit sized to the toggle bolt wings, and a screwdriver or wrench. Wear safety glasses during installation.

3. Mark the Mounting Location

Hold the fixture in place and mark the hole location on the wall. Ensure the location does not interfere with wiring or plumbing behind the wall.

4. Drill the Hole

Drill a hole at the marked location large enough for the folded toggle wings to pass through the wall. Drill straight and keep the hole clean.

5. Assemble the Toggle Bolt

Thread the toggle wings onto the bolt, making sure the wings open toward the bolt head. Do not tighten the wings against the fixture.

6. Insert the Toggle Bolt

Fold the wings and push them through the drilled hole. Once inside the wall cavity, the wings will spring open behind the wall.

7. Tighten the Bolt

Pull gently on the bolt while tightening to keep the wings engaged against the back of the wall. Tighten until the fixture is secure, but do not over-tighten.

8. Final Check

Confirm the fixture is firmly mounted and does not move. The toggle bolt installation is complete.
